Hazardous goods

DB Schenker has the necessary permits to transport hazardous goods, both over land (ADR), by air (IATA DGR) and by ocean (IMDG). The logistics warehouse in Willebroek has a Vlarem Class I environmental licence.

All drivers have taken ADR training, passed exams and hold an ADR certificate. The land ransport divisions in Mechelen and Waregem have their own safety advisers.

The warehouses have intervention posts with equipment and protective devices in case of incidents.

DB Schenker Central Region, to which Belgium also belongs, has a Regional Safety Advisor who holds the necessary certificates for all modes of transport and ensures that all measures regarding the handling of hazardous goods are observed.
